Your role and responsibilities
Are you passionate about creating hyper-realistic virtual worlds that push the boundaries of industrial robotics? At ABB Robotics, we’re looking for an Omniverse Developer who will transform how robots interact with their environment—through cutting-edge digital twin technology and synthetic data generation. If you thrive at the intersection of simulation, AI, and real-time physics, this is your chance to shape the future of automation.
For this role we are seeking an experienced Omniverse Developer with a strong background in digital twin projects to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with physics animations, event handling, and real-time object movement using Python scripting within NVIDIA Omniverse. You will play a key role in simulating real-time hyper realistic environments and generating synthetic data for Visual Language Models training in the field of Industrial Robotics.
Examples of responsibilities:
- Develop and implement digital twin solutions using NVIDIA Omniverse for real-world simulations
- Utilize Python scripting to control object movements, trigger events, and handle real-time animations
- Integrate physics-based animations to simulate realistic object interactions and behaviors
- Generate accurate synthetic datasets for training Visual AI Models
- Optimize performance for large-scale scenes and ensure seamless real-time rendering
Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in developing digital twins or similar 3D simulation projects.
- Proficiency in NVIDIA Omniverse, including Kit, Isaac Sim or other Omniverse extensions.
- Strong expertise in Python scripting for event handling and object movement.
- Experience with physics simulations (PhysX, rigid body dynamics, soft body physics, etc.).
- Experience in Synthetic data generation technologies like Replicator, Cosmos.
- Familiarity with real-time data streaming (gRPC ).
- Knowledge of USD (Universal Scene Description) and 3D scene manipulation.
- Knowledge of materials MDL (Material Definition Language)
- Experience with GPU-accelerated rendering and optimization techniques.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
