Senior Mechanical Engineer Components and Products

Job Description:

The client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Production Engineering department, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of production tools and fixtures. This role plays a critical part in enhancing assembly processes by ensuring the availability of efficient, safe, and high-quality tooling solutions, supported by accurate and up-to-date technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the end-to-end development of tools and fixtures, starting from requirement analysis through to final implementation.

• Create detailed 3D models and engineering drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring precision and manufacturability.
• Align tooling solutions with production workflows, emphasizing safety standards, operational efficiency, and product quality.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly production engineers, to define technical specifications for procurement.
• Contribute to the evaluation, validation, and approval of procured tools and fixtures to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all engineering deliverables within SAP systems.
• Provide ongoing technical support to production teams, addressing queries and driving continuous improvement initiatives on the shop floor.

Deliverables:

• Design and development of production tools and fixtures tailored to assembly processes.
• Accurate CAD models and technical drawings created in SolidWorks.
• Verified and approved tooling solutions aligned with production requirements.
• Proper documentation and data management within SAP.

Experience Required:

• Extensive experience in production engineering, particularly within assembly-based manufacturing environments.
• Proven track record in designing tools and fixtures for industrial production.

Education Required:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for design and modeling.
• Experience working with SAP for documentation and data management.
• Solid understanding of CE compliance and safety standards.
• In-depth knowledge of production processes and assembly operations.
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English.
