Lead Backend Engineer – Java / Microservices / Cloud

We are looking for an experienced Lead Backend Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our cloud-based platform. The role includes architectural responsibility, backend development, technical decision-making, and continuous improvement of our service infrastructure.

As a Lead Backend Engineer, you will collaborate closely with product owners, developers, architects, and cross-functional teams to build scalable and reliable systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and optimize backend services
• Participate in architectural discussions and technical decisions
• Build and improve microservices infrastructure
• Contribute to system integrations
• Perform code reviews and maintain high code quality
• Support CI/CD processes and production systems
• Mentor and support other developers
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5–7+ years of experience with Java (11/17/21)
• Solid experience with Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB
• Experience with AWS
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture
• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or similar)
• Strong communication skills and ability to take lead responsibilities

Meriting Skills:

• Experience in architectural work or team leadership
• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Experience mentoring or leading knowledge-sharing initiatives
