Senior Android Software Engineer

You will join a technical environment in the automotive industry where connected products rely on stable, scalable Android software running on device-based platforms while interacting smoothly with backend and cloud services. The role combines hands-on engineering with complex system thinking, as the software must perform reliably across constrained environments, shifting connectivity conditions, and distributed architectures.

You will contribute across the full product development lifecycle, from planning and design to implementation, deployment, and maintenance. • You will drive Android software development across product development phases, including planning, design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance.
• You will analyze business needs and turn them into robust, scalable software applications and services for embedded or device-based platforms.
• You will build, test, and maintain solutions in the Android ecosystem with a focus on reliability and long-term sustainability.
• You will design and implement integrations between on-device software and offboard or cloud services to support seamless end-to-end user experiences.
• You will shape reliable data exchange between onboard systems and backend platforms.
• You will help solve challenges related to constrained environments, connectivity limitations, and distributed system architectures.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the Android ecosystem, including development of robust, scalable applications and services on embedded or device-based platforms.
• Strong understanding of connected systems, including experience integrating on-device software with offboard or cloud services.
• Familiarity with IoT and edge communication patterns and protocols such as REST, MQTT, gRPC, or similar.
• Experience designing reliable data exchange between onboard systems and backend platforms.
• Experience working with constrained environments, connectivity challenges, and distributed system architectures.
• Ability to complete a background check before assignment start.
