Assignment Overview

We are looking for an experienced Automation Engineer

What You Will Work On

• Conduct a comprehensive technical review of the existing automation system.
• Analyze and restructure PLC and HMI applications to improve maintainability and transparency.
• Review communication structures including EtherNet/IP and IO-Link integrations.
• Evaluate IO configurations, power distribution systems, and related process equipment.
• Ensure architectural clarity and documentation to enable long-term internal ownership.
• Support troubleshooting, system optimization, and technical improvements.
• Participate in phased delivery, prioritizing critical system areas.
• Produce clear technical documentation, reports, and system assessments.

What You Bring

• M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar technical field.
• Documented hands-on experience with:
• Rockwell CompactLogix (especially 1769-L33ER)
• Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000
• FactoryTalk View (HMI/SCADA)
• EtherNet/IP
• IO-Link (preferably ifm AL1920)
• Phoenix Contact CAPAROC (PM IOL + E1)
• Ewon Cosy 131 and Talk2M
• Strong understanding of industrial control systems, network topologies, and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Practical experience reading, verifying, and restructuring PLC and HMI projects.
• Fluency in Swedish and English (spoken and written).
